President Buhari Has Reportedly Cancelled The Weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC)

President Buhari has reportedly cancelled the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting slated to hold today, Wednesday, August 23, 2017.

Buhari is currently working from home following the damaged done to the furniture and air-conditioning fittings in his office by rodents.

According to The Cable, the Osinbajo panel report on the allegations levelled against the Director-General of National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ayo Oke and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal will be presented to the President today.

Reports say a presidency source said that the Osinbajo panel indicted the two top officials.

The source also said “The report of the investigations is ready. The two suspended officials were recommended for total disengagement and replacement. It is clearly stated in the report that they should not be brought back to their positions. They are to be disengaged as recommended.

“As promised, the committee gave fair hearing to all the parties involved. It was a thorough investigation. You would recall that the investigation was slightly extended beyond the two-week period which Mr President gave the committee.”

President Buhari returned to Nigeria on Saturday, August 19, 2017 after spending over 100 days in London.
