No Video Exists Of Kenneka Jenkins Walking Into Hotel Freezer, Chicago Hotel Says

The mystery surrounding the death of Kenneka Jenkins is yet to be solved. Even though police have said she was drunk and walked into a freezer, her family and a lot of people do not agree that is the entire truth.

Now it has emerged that there is no video showing Kenneka walking into the walk-in freezer at the hotel. Police released CCTV footage of her walking out of an elevator, down hallways, and even walking into an unused kitchen but there is no video showing her walking into the fridge and this fuels speculation that there's more to her death (read here).

A spokesperson for a Chicago area hotel says no video exists of 19-year-old Kenneka Jenkins walking into a freezer. The spokesman told CBS Chicago there are no cameras pointed at the freezer. The hotel released a statement after Jenkins’ family toured the areas she walked through. The family was also given 36 hours of video footage from all the cameras where Jenkins walked.

Kenneka was found dead in the freezer on the lower conference level of the Crowne Plaza O’Hare Hotel and Conference Center in Rosemont, Illinois on Sunday, September 10. She had been partying with friends in a 9th floor hotel room on Friday September 8 then went missing early on Saturday, September 9.

Her death has sparked conspiracy theories and wild accusations online of body organ harvesting and multiple suspects pursuing Jenkins. But police have insisted from the beginning that Jenkins was intoxicated when she walked into the freezer alone.

Jenkins’s death has sparked conspiracy theories and wild accusations online of body organ harvesting and multiple suspects pursuing Jenkins. Someone recently shot a video using the same type of freezer to prove that there is no way a drunk Kenneka could have opened it, got in, and shut herself because the freezer can only be shut from outside, thereby insinuating that someone closed her in.

One theory that keeps being repeated is that someone snatched her as she walked through the kitchen and led her into the freezer. But no one else was seen in the camera entering or leaving the kitchen area.

FBI will not investigate Kenneka Jenkins’ case but on Monday, Rosemont police officials announced they would continue investigating Kenneka Jenkins death without support from the FBI.
