Ramsey Nouah Nollywood Star Talks About His Nationality

Actor, Ramsey Nouah, cleared doubts concerning the debate about his nationality by firmly stating that he is a Nigerian with Israeli and Lebanese roots.


The Nollywood star who was a recent guest on Lagos-based radio station Classic 97.3 FM revealed that he possesses only a Nigerian passport.


“I am Nigerian. Although I am also partly Israeli and Lebanese, I carry only the Nigerian passport. I was born and raised in Nigeria.

"All my life I have lived in this country and I have never been to either Israel or Lebanon where my paternal grandparents come from. Basically, this is my home and where I have found myself,”
the actor revealed.

In Nigeria, Nouah has found career success and a wonderful family he seemed very pleased with based on his comments in the radio interview.

The happiness he enjoys in his home is thanks to his wife, Emelia Philips-Nouah, who he got married to in the year 2002.


“My wife is the power-house of my family. If it were not for her, I would not have been able to keep a family together. She is such a wonderful woman. I always price her above other women."

The actor's long years in acting has produced quite a number of achievement such as the Best Actor in a Leading Role in Kunle Afolayan's "The Figurine" movie, at the 2010 African Movie Academy Award.

Some of the movies he has featured in include "Silent Night"(1996), "30 Days in Atlanta" (2014) and "76" (2016), the Izu Ojukwu directed movie where he played the character, Captain Joseph Dewa.
