Nicki Minaj Goes Topless In New Cover Photo
Nicki Minaj's eye-popping Paper magazine cover has been released - and just like Kim Kardashian, she's trying to break the internet.
The rapper, 34, shared the risqué cover with her millions of fans on Tuesday and it promptly sent the internet into meltdown.
The bold cover, shot by Ellen von Unwerth, features three Nicki's all donning a different barely-there outfit.
Of course it was the middle Nicki - dressed only in latex pink shorts and nipple pasties - that drew the most attention. The other two outfits in comparison are relatively tame.
As well as the shorts and nipple pasties look, she's also rocking a slashed pink dress that shows off her curvy rear and legs, and the third outfit is a bum-baring black leotard.
Nicki styled all her own looks and had four fashion assistants on hand to help.
"Minaj à Trois - Break The Internet," the cover reads, playing on the French phrase ménage à trois.
The magazine points out that they've never called an issue Break the Internet since Kim Kardashian's 2014 shoot.
Minaj's cover story will be released Wednesday. Paper's last "Break the Internet" edition featured Kim Kardashian re-creating French photographer Jean-Paul Goude's famous "Champagne Incident" in what has now become an iconic pose.
Minaj had shared a somewhat erotic video to her account hours prior to the release of the cover photo, which led to a lot of commotion among her fans. Some even thought that Minaj's account had been hacked, but it is now clear that the stylized hand held video is behind-the-scenes footage from the photo shoot.
